We are currently looking for a Junior VAT & Tax Accountant (EU VAT Focus) to join a fast-growing organisation operating within the data centre and fibre optic installation sector across Europe.
OVERVIEW
This opportunity offers strong exposure to international VAT environments within a business operating across Europe and the Middle East in the communications and data centre infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will support multi-jurisdictional VAT compliance, reporting, and advisory while working within a dynamic finance function using modern ERP systems including Odoo.
This is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional looking to specialise in EU VAT within a high-growth international organisation.
LOCATION
Finglas, Dublin (with some flexibility / hybrid potential)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation and submission of EU VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT/GST returns across multiple jurisdictions
- Support EU VAT compliance, including data collection and reconciliation
- Verify correct VAT treatment on purchases and sales transactions
- Reconcile VAT balances on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax
- Assist senior team members with various tax and compliance projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 1–3+ years’ experience in finance, tax, or accounting
- Exposure to EU VAT filings or tax compliance is highly desirable
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo experience a strong advantage)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, international environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant or Finance Professional with Vat/Tax experience
- VAT/Tax certification is an advantage

SALARY & BENEFITS
- €18–€20 per hour (dependent on experience)
