Due to continued growth in their European operations, they are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join the team based in Charleroi, Belgium. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and maintaining a strong safety culture across projects in Belgium and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and implement site rules and company health & safety policies effectively across all project sites.
- Advise management on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and client procedures.
- Review, prepare, and update site documentation including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Deliver health & safety induction programmes for all personnel working on site.
- Represent the company at site meetings and liaise with clients and contractors as required.
- Provide clear health & safety advice and guidance to relevant personnel on site.
- Compile accurate accident and incident reports in a timely manner.
- Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks and site-specific emergency drills.
- Arrange and maintain all safety training requirements for site teams.
- Undertake regular site visits to projects across Belgium and Europe.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications
- Qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Relevant H&S certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely, or European equivalent) are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or Officer role.
- Experience in the telecommunications, electrical, or construction sector is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of conducting site audits, producing risk assessments, and delivering toolbox talks.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation in Belgium and across the EU.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, leadership, training, and presentation skills.
- Full clean driving licence – essential (regular travel to project sites required).
