Driver / Yard & Warehouse Operative
Location: Limerick (Dock Road branch - based on one site)
Salary: €15.50 – €16.00 per hour + Paid Overtime
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Flexible retail/trade shifts)
Elite Talent Hub is seeking a Driver / Yard & Warehouse Operative to join a leading builders merchants at their busy Dock Road branch in Limerick. This is a fast-paced role where you will be a key part of the team, keeping the yard running smoothly and delivering top-tier service to local customers.
Core Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries
- Transport goods: Deliver building materials to local customers using the branch pickup truck.
- Load vehicles: Securely load trucks with products in advance of customer deliveries.
Yard & Warehouse Operations
- Unload stock: Off-load incoming products and building materials delivered to the site.
- Order picking: Accurately pick customer orders and assist with loading customer vehicles.
- Stock control: Assist with branch stock management, including stock-taking and cycle counting.
- Branch upkeep: Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse, yard, and shop.
Teamwork & Safety
- Staff collaboration: Work closely with transport and internal sales teams to ensure efficient service.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety rules.
Requirements
- License: Full clean Category B driving license (essential for driving the pickup truck).
- Certification: Valid forklift driving license/certificate with practical yard experience.
- Industry knowledge: Previous experience with building materials is highly advantageous.
- Attributes: Positive can-do attitude, good communication skills, and basic computer literacy.
