I’m currently working on an opportunity for a Maintenance Control & Instrumentation Electrician to join a generation facility in Dublin.
This is a hands-on role within a high-performing maintenance team, focused on keeping plant operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently across a complex power generation environment.
You’ll be working across a wide range of electrical and control & instrumentation systems, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities. It’s a role that suits someone who is comfortable fault-finding in live environments and can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical and C&I maintenance
- Fault finding, testing and repair of plant equipment
- Installation, troubleshooting and commissioning of systems
- Working on equipment such as transformers, generators, switchgear, motors and valves
- Maintaining accurate records through CMMS systems
- Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
- Operating under safe systems of work and site safety procedures
- Supporting wider maintenance and project activities as required
What I’m looking for:
- 2–5+ years’ experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments (thermal, hydro, renewables or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems and/or C&I systems
- Experience with instrumentation, calibration and electrical testing equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs
- Strong safety mindset and team collaboration
- Good organisational and IT skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with permit systems
- MEWP certification
- Supervisory experience
- Additional testing certifications
Requirements:
- Electrical trade qualification (SOLAS / FÁS or equivalent)
- Full driving licence
- Flexibility for callouts when required
This is a solid opportunity for someone who wants to work on critical infrastructure, develop technically, and be part of a team that keeps essential power systems running.
If it sounds like something you’d be open to exploring, feel free to reach out.
