My client is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Germany. This is a hands-on commissioning role focused on ensuring mechanical systems are installed, tested and commissioned safely and efficiently through to client handover.
Location: Germany - Includes Tax Free Living Allowance + Negotiable Salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Review IFC drawings, specifications and mechanical submittals.
- Support development and execution of commissioning plans and methodologies.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with vendors, package engineers and planners.
- Prepare and review test packs, commissioning scripts and checklists.
- Witness and verify functional testing and commissioning activities.
- Carry out walkdowns, inspections and system verification exercises.
- Track commissioning progress, snags and close-out activities.
- Support preparation of O&M manuals and client training documentation.
- Assist with client commissioning meetings and project handover activities.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical commissioning experience on building services projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, heating, ventilation and pressurisation systems.
- Experience coordinating testing and commissioning activities on site.
- Strong understanding of commissioning sequences and system interfaces.
- Data centre experience beneficial but not essential.
