The Mechanical Commissioning Lead will take ownership of commissioning delivery on a large-scale data centre project, ensuring systems are commissioned safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise and commissioning management experience.
Location: Milan, Italy - Includes Tax Free Living Allowance + Negotiable Salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical commissioning activities across complex projects.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and strategies.
- Coordinate commissioning teams, vendors and specialist contractors.
- Manage commissioning schedules, trackers and progress reporting.
- Lead walkdowns, tag walks and system sign-off activities.
- Review technical documentation, drawings and commissioning procedures.
- Manage snag resolution and handover readiness activities.
- Support client meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Mentor and support junior commissioning engineers.
Requirements:
- Extensive mechanical commissioning experience.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing commissioning programmes on large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical building services and critical systems.
- Data centre experience advantageous.
