Our client are a large scale Civil Engineering & Construction firm with a large pipeline of Residential projects in Dublin. They are now on the lookout for a Project Manager to work across a number of these projects in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of projects, ensuring all client specifications, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and ensure objectives around timeliness, cost, quality, and client satisfaction are achieved.
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to handover.
- Assist the Contracts Manager and Commercial Director with accurate cost forecasting.
- Coordinate project activities in line with company quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Monitor resource allocation to ensure availability across all disciplines for project delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, supporting effective delivery, performance tracking, and change management.
- Provide regular project performance updates to senior management and company directors.
- Implement proactive risk management and ensure regular review and action by the project team.
- Manage client reporting, including project progress reports, updates, KPI data, and performance metrics as required.
- Handle the project's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations (2015) and evaluate project-specific requirements.
- Champion the client’s HSQE principles across all projects.
- Periodically audit site management systems to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Support defect closure strategies and achieve targets for defect rectification.
- Address delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies at construction sites promptly.
- Obtain necessary internal permits for project execution.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of subcontractors, ensuring alignment with the project timeline.
Key Skills:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- 3 + years experience working with tier-one contractors.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-volume sites.
- Strong understanding of current building regulations and certification standards.
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to meet stringent time and quality targets.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
