Our Client are currently on the lookout for a Mechanical Quality Lead for their project in Dublin. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects meet high standards of execution, adhering to regulatory guidelines, project documentation, and technical specifications. This position involves evaluating and updating quality and commissioning systems to align with project requirements and industry advancements. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement procedures, resolve technical issues, and ensure Project Engineers are well-versed in QA/QC processes per ISO 9001 standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all assigned projects meet regulatory requirements, technical specifications, design drawings, and project-specific documentation.
  • Continuously review and update quality and commissioning procedures to align with both project and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational procedures and technical requirements.
  • Provide technical support to project personnel and ensure Project Engineers are trained in QA/QC processes, adhering to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Develop and implement a quality plan for each project, incorporating stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of projects in accordance with the company’s Audit Lean Programme and Policy.
  • Coordinate and sign off on mock-ups for benchmarking, documenting and communicating final approvals to relevant parties.
  • Manage and coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with vendors, ensuring all testing complies with project specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of installations, ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate system walk-downs with project stakeholders following the company’s tagging system and handover protocols.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation for audits and manage punch lists to ensure timely sign-off of stakeholder concerns.
  • Address any issues during the defect liability period and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Attend management meetings and provide regular updates to the team.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance aspects of commercial bidding.
  • Maintain and update training logs, skills matrices, and records for the QA team.
  • Perform other duties as required by your manager.

 

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in managing and utilizing databases and systems for inputting and extracting information.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage client expectations.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, growing work environment.
