My client is a reputable Irish main contractor with a strong track record of delivering projects across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Site Engineer to join their Wicklow based project team.
This position offers the chance to work on a mix of commercial, industrial and educational developments, within a structured and supportive site environment. It’s a great opportunity to build experience across different phases of construction while working alongside an experienced delivery team.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring works on site are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise closely with the senior engineering and site management teams
- Carry out setting out duties and site surveys
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Handle technical queries, RFIs and document coordination
- Work with subcontractors to keep works progressing as planned
- Track site progress and maintain detailed records
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the site
- Promote and uphold all health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Third level qualification in Engineering or similar discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience working with a main contractor
- Strong setting out capability
- Good knowledge of construction drawings and Irish regulations
- Effective communicator with the ability to work within a team
- Able to manage workload in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Safepass and Manual Handling
