Stock & Operations Controller – Cork City
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Stock & Operations Controller to join our busy Builders Providers branch in Cork City. Based in the branch Operations Office, you will manage stock control, administration, transport coordination, supplier returns, and delivery scheduling to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control: Maintain accurate inventory, conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and manage stock replenishment.
- Transport Coordination: Schedule customer deliveries, plan daily vehicle routes, and communicate schedules to drivers.
- Administration: Process delivery dockets, purchase orders, and stock adjustments while maintaining accurate records.
- Supplier Returns: Coordinate and process returns, secure credits, and resolve vendor discrepancies promptly.
- Delivery & Vehicle Checks: Verify incoming deliveries, check arriving/departing vehicle loads, and support branch security.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Background in stock/inventory control, transport, logistics, or warehouse administration.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience in a builders providers, builders merchant, or hardware environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/warehouse management software.
- Core Abilities: Strong organizational, communication, numerical, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications: Forklift license is a plus but not mandatory.
