What is a Critical Skills Employment Permit?
The Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP) is designed for skilled workers in professions experiencing a shortage of skills in Ireland. To apply for a CSEP, you must have a job offer for a minimum of two years in hand in one of the below professions for an annual salary of at least €38,000.
What are the benefits of a CSEP?
Upon issuance of your Critical Skills Employment Permit, you can take advantage of various benefits, such as:
Immediate eligibility to apply for family reunification for employment permit holders.
Dependants, partners, and spouses, once they are residents of the State, can seek any employment and can obtain a Dependant/Partner/Spouse Employment Permit from the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation at no cost.
After completing the permit's duration, CSEP holders can request permission from the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service to reside and work in Ireland without the need for an employment permit.
