Our client is currently seeking a proactive Administrator/Assistant Credit Controller to support operations at their Sligo branch. This dual-function role involves working across both administration and credit control, ensuring daily operations run efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks within the branch, ensuring high standards and timely completion
  • Respond to customer enquiries and assist with internal branch processes
  • Process credit notes and address invoice discrepancies from suppliers
  • Monitor and reconcile cash balances, ensuring all financial records are accurate
  • Log and manage stock adjustments, raise return documentation, and maintain digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist with the upkeep of health and safety documentation
  • Provide administrative support to both internal and external sales teams

 

Credit Control Functions:

  • Follow up on outstanding customer balances and reconcile bank transfers
  • Liaise with sales representatives on overdue accounts and participate in regular credit control meetings
  • Set up new customer accounts and complete credit checks as part of onboarding
  • Issue credit notes for pricing disputes and assist in the preparation of documentation for legal follow-up if necessary

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in an administrative and/or credit control role
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting systems is advantageous
  • Well-organised, with excellent time management abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment
  • Motivated and capable of working on own initiative
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
