Our client are on the lookout for an M&E professional to lead the commissioning of a Data Centre project in Vienna. This pivotal role requires a skilled and proactive leader who can oversee the commissioning process to ensure every aspect of the project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage commissioning strategies, and ensure seamless handovers for one of the most advanced data centre developments in the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project execution to ensure all work aligns with applicable standards, regulations, and project-specific documentation.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to establish and implement operational procedures and technical requirements.
  • Conduct reviews and updates of quality systems and commissioning processes to meet evolving project demands.
  • Facilitate technical issue resolution and ensure team training in commissioning activities.
  • Organize and document reviews of mock-ups and ensure they are utilized as benchmarks.
  • Coordinate factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform inspections, audits, and system walk-throughs, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Manage project handovers, ensuring all systems meet client expectations.
  • Maintain oversight of punch lists and commissioning dependencies, ensuring timely completion.
  • Contribute to commissioning documentation, including plans, reports, and regulatory records.
  • Support commissioning and defect resolution during project handover and post-completion phases.

 

Key Skills

  • Degree-qualified engineer with 5+ years of M&E experience.
  • Proficient in database systems for data management and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptable, self-driven, and capable of working in dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in team leadership, performance management, and mentoring.
  • Confident in delivering presentations and leading discussions.
