This is an opportunity for a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join an experienced commercial team and gain exposure across all stages of construction. You’ll support procurement, commercial reporting, subcontractor management, and site-based operations on live projects, while receiving guidance from senior QS staff.
The position suits someone who is eager to develop core technical skills and progress toward an Intermediate QS role within a busy main contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with measurement, estimating, and cost planning for live and tendered projects.

Support procurement activities — preparing enquiries, assessing quotes, and compiling recommendations.

Help prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Work with site and commercial teams to monitor progress and manage cost control.

Carry out take-offs from drawings and assist in compiling bills of quantities.

Support assessment of subcontractor packages, payments, and commercial queries.

Maintain commercial documentation, financial records, and reporting.

Attend site progress meetings and assist with project updates.

Ensure compliance with company standards, processes, and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.

Strong analytical and numerical ability.

Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to cost software is advantageous.

Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise multiple tasks.
