Our client, a well-established legal firm located in Limerick City Centre is currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team on a permanent basis. This position offers the opportunity to support a busy litigation practice, primarily focused on personal injury, road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, medical negligence, and fatal claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage legal documentation including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
- Accurately transcribe digital dictation in a timely manner.
- Maintain solicitor diaries, schedule client appointments, and coordinate court dates and meetings.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, barristers, and court offices.
- Organise and manage confidential files and legal records with accuracy and discretion.
- Assist in the preparation of client billing and expense tracking.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally in a litigation-focused environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with legal case management software.
- Strong typing, transcription, and document formatting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
