Our client are Irelands largest M&E Contractor with operations in Ireland & Across Europe. They are leading the construction of Data Centre & Pharmaceutical projects across Ireland & abroad. As part of their success on delivering these projects, they have won a number of European based contracts and now require Quality Engineers from a Mechanical Background to join their team in Sweden. Due to the volume of roles my client are seeking to fill there will be excellent advancement opportunities available for the successful candidate.
Job Description:
- Responsible for maintaining the Mechanical Quality Management System
- Take ownership for the quality delivery of projects, ensuring that all client specifications are met, by accurately developing and executing project quality plans & ITP’s.
- Lead the quality ethos for projects, ensuring that Our client is the best it can be everyday everywhere.
- Management of a Quality team including Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, NDT Specialists and Commissioning & Handover Supervisors
- Management of the applicable database for each project; ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will essentially deliver the handover documentation to the client.
- Liaise with the client on handover documentation, system handover and MC dates.
- Liaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists etc. Monitoring snag trends and addressing same through construction teams.
- Review Installations for Compliance to our clients Project Specific Quality Plan & ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures & expectations.
- Ensure QA requirements are met by subcontractors.
- Oversee & complete regular site quality audits.
- Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.
- Liaise with other in-house specialist Mechanical QA/QC Leads as required
Key Skills:
- Relevant mechanical/quality qualification
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Piping Systems and associated P&IDs
- Knowledge of orbital welding equipment and weld procedures
- Further Quality Inspection qualifications would be advantageous, E.g., Paint & Coatings
- Experience working with Quality software would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
