Our client are Irelands largest engineering services firm. Operating across Ireland & Europe in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.  

Our Client have an expanding pipeline of Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Commercial and Battery Storage projects across Ireland & Europe.

They now  require a Project Planner, proficient in Primavera P6 to join their team. You will have the option to be based in Dublin or work in Europe on rotation.

 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations related to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality functions.
  • Offer expert guidance to Senior Management (Design & Manufacture) on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality issues.
  • Aid employees and contractors in complying with legislation, client standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Cultivate and monitor a strong HSEQ culture throughout all JEML activities.
  • Manage work permits within the JEML facility, ensuring adherence to EHS and Quality standards.
  • Ensure products meet company Quality systems, Safety standards, and Customer requirements.
  • Support quality control, including incoming inspections and process audits.
  • Prepare and update documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and offer technical support.
  • Implement ISO standards.
  • Ensure clear communication between Group EHS & Group Quality departments for effective implementation by the JEML team.
  • Identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Handle customer complaints, ensuring all necessary documents and traceability are maintained.
  • Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and deliver construction EHS training to meet regulatory requirements and enhance EHS awareness and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO14001/ISO45001/ISO9001 standards.
  • Promote and implement programs to build a strong safety culture.
  • Report to the Group EHS Manager, Group Quality Manager, and General Manager.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with EHS Management Systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Academic qualifications in Safety (minimum NEBOSH Diploma) and/or Quality Systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Comfortable in a busy environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to build respect and influence at all levels.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Producing construction schedules for agreement with client in conjunction with the Project Manager
  • Fully resource/cost loaded schedule
  • Maintenance of construction schedule
  • Track planned versus actual progress
  • Working with construction team members to capture and log any issues affecting progress
  • Attending site meetings (internal and client based)
  • Monitoring original versus actual budgets for scope growth/changes
  • Use of internal database project control system
  • Ensuring all progress is captured in updates of system
  • Monitoring fabrication shops and site installation output
  • Use of database reporting system for circulation of information to project team
  • Take lead in production/co-ordination in issuing of weekly construction reports
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification
  • Minimum of 4 -5 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in Primavera P6 software desirable
