Plumbing and Heating Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking a results-driven Plumbing and Heating Business Development Manager to actively identify and engage customer prospects across the Eastern region. The role will focus on promoting and selling the company’s Plumbing and Heating product range while building and maintaining strong customer relationships in line with agreed sales targets.

The successful candidate will reflect our client’s ethos of delivering consistently excellent customer service, while utilising their experience and knowledge to play a key role in the company’s continued growth. Working closely with regional managers, sales representatives, and key suppliers, the Business Development Manager will identify opportunities, generate leads, and strengthen commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Present, promote, and sell Plumbing and Heating products to existing and prospective customers.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive customer relationships with a focus on long-term loyalty.
• Generate leads through cold calling and ensure effective follow-up with potential new customers.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and deliver successful outcomes.

Criteria:

• Proven track record in sales within the construction sector, with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Strong knowledge of Plumbing and Heating materials (preferred).
• Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise effectively.
• Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office.
