Position: Power Stations Operations Team Member

Dublin Stations (Poolbeg, Dublin Bay Power, and North Wall) are managed, maintained, and operated to the highest standards of efficiency and availability within a competitive commercial energy market. These stations form part of the Generating and Trading Division of Irelands national electricity network.

Please note: This role involves shift work.

 

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment, as well as the safety of personnel on site.
  • Carrying out daily activities such as monitoring, testing, operating, and assessing plant equipment.
  • Operating and maintaining the power plant in strict compliance with safety, environmental, commercial, and chemical requirements.
  • Supporting the shift operations team, maintaining accurate shift records, and preparing reports for the Shift Team Leader and/or Operations Manager.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of operational procedures and systems.
  • Participating in front-line troubleshooting, maintenance, and outage support as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in process or operations roles.
  • Strong ability to analyse, process, and act on operational data.
  • Flexibility to provide shift cover when required.

 

Desirable:

  • A craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Fitting.
  • Relevant CSCS tickets and certifications.
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Awareness of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experience in contractor supervision and support.
  • Familiarity with Maintenance/Operations Management Systems.
