Sales Representative - Coolock, Dublin 17

 

Primary Objective

As Sales Representative at our clients store in Coolock, you are responsible for generating building material sales, managing customer relationships and construction related activity with key customers within a geographical area to achieve company objectives as directed by the Regional Director.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in sales of building materials within the construction industry, such as a role in a builders' merchant, construction-related company, or B2B sales in the construction sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of building material products, both existing and emerging.

  • Proven track record in dealing with building contractors and specifiers.

  • A third-level qualification in construction or a business-related field is highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with key strategic customers and potential contractors, following customer relationship management guidelines and technical offerings to build strong relationships and gain market advantage.

  • Promote the company's building materials and services through regular customer visits and communications as per company guidelines.

  • Upselling additional brands such as Sam Hire and Plumb Centre

  • Preparing quotations for customers

  • Preparing Account Plans to meet sales targets and maintain or develop the relationship with his/her Customers

  • Ensuring payment terms are adhered to as per customer contract

  • Manage the commercial aspects of project management activities, ensuring maximum commercial advantage and commitment from technical resources and project specifications.

  • Support company goals by collaborating with team members and other functions, and actively participate in delivering on commitments.

  • Follow company reporting procedures and commercial administration systems, providing appropriate feedback and information, including:

  • Planning each visit and recording visit reports.

  • Enriching the customer database with sales information collected from the field.

  • Ensuring personal and others' safety.

  • Achieving debt management goals within the area of responsibility.

  • Managing claims for product or service performance issues in line with company guidelines.
