Our client are a specialist Fit Out Contractor with a large pipeline of projects in the Dublin region. As a result of their growth they are now seeking a Senior QS with a specialisation in Fit-Out Projects. This is a senior level Commercial position within our clients organisation and you will deal directly with the COO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee commercial aspects of a project from inception to completion.
- Handle estimating and tendering for projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their representatives.
- Perform all quantity surveying duties, including measurement, valuation, and work section agreements.
- Prepare accurate project cost forecasts and cost value reconciliations.
- Draft change orders, maintain variation logs, and produce weekly job progress reports.
- Collaborate with the Senior QS to prepare monthly interim valuations.
- Manage subcontractor re-measurement and process interim and final account payments.
- Monitor and report job costs in collaboration with the Financial Manager, Contracts Manager, and Foremen.
- Ensure timely placement of purchase orders for materials, labor, and subcontractors for upcoming projects.
- Prepare final accounts and cashflow forecasts for projects.
- Develop and maintain the pricing database within the pricing software.
- Attend site meetings as necessary.
Key Skills:
- Relevant professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience with a building contractor, demonstrating a proven track record in the delivery of cost savings on fit out projects
- Understanding of various construction contracts.
- Proficient in IT systems.
