Our client, a leading supplier of products and services to the Irish Petroleum Industry have an exciting opportunity for a Service Support Technician to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. This role would be ideally suited to someone who is based within a 1 hour commute from our clients HQ office in West Dublin i.e. Meath, Kildare, Laois, Wicklow, Carlow, Westmeath.

The Role - Service Support Technician

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to hire a Service Support Technician to join their team to assist with service and repairs to a range of equipment, including fuel pumps, car wash systems, and EV charging stations. You will also be responsible for carrying out measurement verification of fuel dispensers and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and work on new products as they support their customers in their transition to new energies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out measurement verification of fuel dispensers after component change and on an annual basis.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance checks on customer sites.
  • Assist with servicing, troubleshooting and repair of various fuel dispenser, Karcher vehicle wash systems, and EV charging equipment.
  • Assist with our project work in line when required.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Always follow health and safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of work done and parts used and report them in a timely manner.
  • Report any issues or problems to your Field Supervisor.
  • Attend training courses as workload dictates.
  • Maintain high levels of personal professionalism in a customer facing role.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

 

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Trade Qualification and/or 3rd Level Qualification Higher Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills and experience in the use of a range of hand tools.
  • A valid full manual driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
