Our client is looking for a skilled Site Manager to oversee daily on-site operations across active projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safety, maintaining high standards of quality, and delivering builds in line with agreed timelines and specifications. This role is ideal for someone with broad construction experience and strong leadership capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Take ownership of all on-site activities, ensuring project milestones are achieved
  • Lead subcontractors and site personnel to execute work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Maintain excellent relationships with project stakeholders, consultants, and suppliers
  • Monitor progress against schedule and provide updates to the Contracts Manager
  • Collaborate with quantity surveyors to ensure resources are planned effectively

 

Health, Safety & Site Standards

  • Uphold health and safety protocols in line with current regulations
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure that risk assessments/method statements are being followed
  • Maintain clean, well-organised site conditions at all times
  • Report incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the relevant advisor and company leadership
  • Promote a zero-incident culture across all activities

 

Technical Oversight & Quality Control

  • Support site engineering functions including setting out, surveys, and trade coordination
  • Ensure materials, workmanship, and installation processes meet technical specifications
  • Resolve site-based design or technical queries through clear communication with consultants and engineers
  • Manage RFIs and submittal logs, ensuring timely updates and responses
  • Oversee quality assurance documentation, inspections, and handover criteria

 

Leadership & Communication

  • Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, designers, and third parties
  • Chair and contribute to site meetings, relaying key information across teams
  • Manage site requisitions for plant, tools, and materials
  • Monitor progress versus programme; escalate concerns early to avoid delays
  • Contribute to planning efforts alongside project and planning teams

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar site-based leadership role
  • Construction or project management qualifications preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to interpret construction drawings
  • Confident communicator with ability to lead diverse teams
  • Proficient in MS Office and project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Focused on quality, detail, and delivering excellent finishes
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain control in fast-paced environments
