Our client is now seeking an Accounting Supervisor with comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles.

Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin

 

This role involves full responsibility for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards such as IFRS or GAAP. The Accounting Supervisor will manage the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, while also supporting external audits and liaising with auditors.

A strong understanding of leasing and payroll journals is essential, as the role includes ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of lease liabilities and payroll-related transactions in accordance with applicable accounting standards. The supervisor will also oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial records.

In addition to financial reporting, the Accounting Supervisor will assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, comparing actual results against budgets, and preparing variance analyses. They will be responsible for maintaining internal controls, supporting the implementation of process improvements, and ensuring ongoing compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

The role includes involvement in tax and statutory reporting, including VAT, corporate tax, and other filings, ensuring full compliance with local and international tax regulations. The Accounting Supervisor will lead and mentor junior team members, review their work, and support their development, particularly during handovers or team transitions. Collaboration across departments such as finance, operations, and HRis key, along with coordination with external advisors, auditors, and tax consultants.
