THE ROLE
As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with our high-profile client base to design fire protection sprinkler systems. You will produce Auto-CAD and Revit drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work and ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures. You will create Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software, plan project programs/scheduling, and prepare submittals. You will work closely with the Operations andInstallation teams to communicate; problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
Reporting to: Design Lead
Hours: 37 hrs per week.
Days: Monday – Friday.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- At least 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer or in within a Fire Sprinkler Industry. (preferably).
- ACAD and Revit experience.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Relevant third-level qualification (eg: Mechanical / Electrical Engineering).
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Must complete Hydraulic Calculations Software training course.
- Fluent English.
- Ability to work under pressure, to project deadlines, while maintaining adherence to process disciplines.
- Full driving license.
- Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
- Ability to commute/relocate Mullingar Business Park, Mullingar, CO. Westmeath N91:
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

- Previous experience in 3D Design software highly desirable.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.
- Produce CAD drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
- Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
- Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry approved software.
- Planning project programs/scheduling.
- Preparing submittals.
- Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all co-ordination and design issues.
