Our client is a leading engineering services company with a proven track record of high quality, customer focused project delivery across Ireland.They deliver bespoke engineering solutions for companies such as Irish Water and a range of pharmaceutical companies across Ireland.


As an EHS Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our clients project implementation and delivery processes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of projects. Your responsibilities will include managing and maintaining the companys Safety Management System and CMS System.


Position will be based in the Limerick HQ office on the Dock Road with travel to sites for auditing/monitoring/supervising when required.


Your Responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensure that site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements. 
  • Generation of site-specific H&S documentation for each projectssuch as health and safety plans, RAMS, SSWP
  • Site audits, in the workshop and our construction site to ensure compliance with H&S standards/rules/documentation.
  • Monitoring of Company Engineering staff and subcontractors to ensure compliance.
  • Managing training and competence matrix in house to ensure all staff H&S training is kept up to date.
  • Managing asset management software to ensure maintenance/calibration of equipment is maintained up to date.
  • Managing asset management software to ensure that all checks are completed, where necessary, by responsible employee


Skills and Requirements 

  • To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: 
  • Relevant EHS qualification essential. 
  • Experience working in the Construction and/or Engineering Sector desired. 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required. 
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.  
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.  
  • Position will be based in Limerick with travel to sites for auditing/monitoring/supervising.
