Our client are Irelands largest M&E engineering contract services company with a proven track record of high quality, customer focused project delivery for over 130 years. Our clients core divisions include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection.

They are currently on the lookout for a Electrical Contracts Manager in Dublin. You will play a pivotal role in  the project development and delivery process for our client on a number of Projects in Dublin. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Construction and Support Functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Create project plans, timelines, and budgets with the project team.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Track project expenses, analyse cost variances, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and disputes transparently.
  • Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Serve as the main contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project progress and any potential issues clearly and promptly.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets industry standards and client expectations
  • Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical contracting, project oversight, and contract management.
  • Relevant Engineering Qualification or Trade Background
  • In-depth understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Competence in handling multiple projects and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
