Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary contractor with a strong presence across Ireland and Europe, is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to oversee high-profile electrical installations from initial planning through to successful project handover. The position will report directly to senior leadership and play a key role in project delivery across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of electrical installation projects in line with technical specifications, timelines, and quality expectations
- Coordinate all project activities with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Monitor progress against schedule and report regularly on site performance, outputs, and milestones
- Support value engineering initiatives and ensure all designs are compliant and practical for implementation
- Liaise with procurement teams to manage supply chain needs and secure resources in line with project demands
- Drive project closeout in line with cost expectations and profitability targets
- Ensure full compliance with relevant codes, standards, and internal policies, including health and safety requirements
- Represent the business in client meetings, design reviews, and site coordination discussions
- Conduct regular internal reviews with the operations team to evaluate performance, identify risks, and propose corrective actions
- Oversee quality control, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities in accordance with contractual obligations
Skills and Experience:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' project management experience in an electrical contracting or construction environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets and resources
- Technically confident with strong report-writing, communication, and coordination skills
- Proficient in project scheduling tools and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of lean construction methods and sustainable installation practices is a distinct advantage
- Based in Ireland or the UK and eligible to work in Ireland without restriction
