Our client, one of Irelands leading construction firms, have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their team due to ongoing growth based in their Limerick Head Office. The successful candidate will be working as part of a well-established finance team where you will be given the opportunity to grow and develop your career further within this dynamic and ambitious business.

 

The role is varied and includes:

  • Oversight of the creditors and debtor’s ledgers.
  • Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of Monthly Finance Reports, Annual Financial Statements and any other internal or external reports required.
  • Supervision of A/P and A/R functions and staff in the functions. To assist with completion of year end audit & tax returns and completion of financial statements.
  • Maintain Balance Sheet schedules and registers.
  • Develop and implement Internal Controls.
  • Implement cost control measures, monitor costs, and streamline processes.
  • Preparation of Budgets, Cash Flows and Ad hoc reports.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

 

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working within industry desirable. Experience working in the construction/engineering sector would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience using accounting software packages such as Sage, Quick Books etc.
  • Strong IT skills and proficient across the MS Office suite particularly in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Some supervisory experience would be an advantage with a ‘hands on’ approach and ability to use initiative.
  • Organised and diligent with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with multiple and tight deadlines.

 

Offer: This is a full-time permanent role and the salary on offer is commensurate with the skills & experience of the successful candidate but is expected to be in the range of approx. €55-€60k per annum. You will also be entitled to excellent benefits along with good potential for growth & development for the right person.
