Our client, a well-established legal firm located in Limerick City Centre, is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant with strong IT and organisational skills to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in administration to be trained into the role of Legal Secretary, supporting a busy litigation practice focused on areas such as personal injury, road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, medical negligence, and fatal claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and managing legal documentation including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence (full training provided).
- Accurately transcribe or type dictation and correspondence using Microsoft Word.
- Maintain solicitor diaries, schedule appointments, and assist with coordinating court dates and meetings.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, barristers, and court offices in a professional and courteous manner.
- Organise and manage confidential files and legal records with accuracy and discretion.
- Support client billing and basic expense tracking.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Confident typing and document formatting ability.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner.
- Eagerness to learn, take direction, and build a career in a legal environment.
