Our Client is looking to recruit Nursing staff to work in a state of the art Nursing Home based in Tuam Co Galway. Attractive salary to the successful candidates on offer.
Job Summary:
As a nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and skilled care to our residents. You will be responsible for assessing residents' health needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct health assessments and create individualized care plans for residents.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Respond promptly to residents' health concerns and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate residents and their families about health conditions and treatments.
- Uphold infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold up to date NMBI Registration
- Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills, including medication administration and wound care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Additional Information:
Training and orientation will be provided to ensure familiarity with nursing home policies and procedures.
