I am currently supporting my client, a leading international engineering services contractor, in the appointment of an EHS Advisor / Senior EHS Advisor to support projects across Limerick & The Munster region.

This is a permanent opportunity with a strong pipeline of engineering projects over the next 5+ years, offering the chance to work on large-scale developments across sectors such as pharmaceutical, data centres and power infrastructure.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing project team, supporting the safe delivery of complex engineering projects while contributing to continuous improvement across Environment, Health and Safety systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, guidance and training on all EHS matters to project teams, subcontractors and site personnel.

  • Lead by example in promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture across projects.

  • Conduct site audits and inspections, identifying improvements and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor and report EHS risks, KPIs and trends, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure all site EHS plans, RAMS and safety documentation are compliant with statutory and project requirements.

  • Support incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors and contractors to ensure safe project delivery.

  • Deliver training and awareness programmes to site teams where required.

 

Key Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in an EHS role within construction, engineering or a related industry.

  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and EHS management systems.

  • Experience working alongside subcontractors and project teams on active construction sites.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver training, reports and presentations effectively.

  • Ability to manage audits, safety inspections and incident investigations.

  • IOSH membership or equivalent would be advantageous.
