Our client is seeking an ambitious and results-driven professional to lead within a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment based in Shannon, Co Clare. As a key member of the management team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and supporting the success of the business.
This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager to oversee and enhance the operational effectiveness of key manufacturing service centres that support final assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Capacity Planning

- Develop and implement production capacity plans and workflows to optimize resources and meet output targets.
- Oversee, plan, organize, and direct daily operations of moulding and surface mount assembly through relevant managers and supervisors.
- Provide leadership in the operational management of the plant, ensuring alignment with core KPIs.
- Implement strategic initiatives that align with company objectives, providing clear direction to production teams.
- Quality Control
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
- Implement and manage programs to monitor production outputs for defects, PPM levels, 6S, and yield improvements.
- Cost Management
- Monitor and control production costs, ensuring manufacturing processes remain within budget.
- Manage expenses related to labor, materials, and overhead to maximize efficiency.
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement across all key aspects of manufacturing support services.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.
- Health & Safety
- Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
- Work closely with safety officers and compliance teams to ensure the highest standards in health and safety across all support services and facilities.
- Sustainability Initiatives
- Lead key sustainability initiatives to ensure the company meets its net carbon-neutral target by 2030.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 50001 and drive energy efficiency improvements across manufacturing operations.
- Technology Integration
- Stay ahead of technological advancements and drive the adoption of automation and new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of operational experience, preferably at a technical management level, within a team-based operational environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or related field) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and leverage the talents of cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in developing and executing business strategies and action plans.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical teams in a high-performance environment.
