We are partnering with a well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy headquartered in Charleville, Co. Cork.
For over a decade, this firm has delivered a wide range of professional services — from project management and quantity surveying to design certification, fire safety, and commercial management. Known for its collaborative culture and technical expertise, the company works with public and private clients nationwide, maintaining long-term relationships built on trust, quality, and professionalism.

They’re now looking to appoint a Bid Administrator to join their growing Tendering team. This is a full-time, permanent position based at their head office and offers a friendly, team-oriented environment with genuine career progression and development opportunities.

 

Role Overview

The Bid Administrator will play a key role in preparing and coordinating high-quality tender submissions that contribute directly to the company’s continued growth. You’ll work closely with senior management, project teams, and external partners to ensure tenders are well-structured, accurate, and delivered on time.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tender and eTender pre-qualification documents and quotations.

  • Coordinate and compile information from internal teams to complete bid responses.

  • Ensure all bid documentation is compliant, consistent, and submitted before deadlines.

  • Format, proofread, and finalise proposal content to meet high presentation and quality standards.

  • Maintain the tender library, templates, and supporting documentation.

  • Track tender timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of upcoming submissions.

  • Support the preparation of presentations, contract reviews, and compliance checks.

  • Build effective working relationships across technical and commercial teams.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in bid administration, bid coordination, or tender support, ideally with exposure to the eTenders platform.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and document formatting skills.

  • Highly organised with strong time-management and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of construction or consultancy environments.

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, adaptable approach.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in a live office or consultancy environment.

  • Familiarity with architectural or engineering services.

  • Understanding of bid processes or proposal-writing best practices.

  • APMP or related bid management certification is an advantage.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification preferred.

  • Additional training in bid/proposal writing beneficial.
