Branch Manager – Timber Suppliers - Clondalkin, Dublin 22
Primary Objective
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Branch Manager oversees daily operations. This role involves developing and implementing a business plan to achieve branch revenue, sales, and service goals.
Knowledge & Experience
- Previous management experience essential
- Strong understanding of hardwoods/softwoods and sheet materials industry
- Proven experience with joinery manufacturers and specifiers
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Third-level degree in a commercial discipline preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the sales team delivers friendly, open, and enthusiastic customer service in person and over the phone
- Basic understanding of accounting and computers
- Collaborate with sales representatives to set monthly growth targets and development objectives
- Support the Regional Director in driving branch development and ensuring service excellence standards
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our clients and competitor products/services for maximizing sales opportunities
- Enhance branch performance across key metrics
- Perform customer service duties as needed to efficiently manage branch operations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through performance coaching and exemplary leadership in commitment, enthusiasm, and drive
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised store environment
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and controls
- Manage branch administration
