We are looking for a driven EHS Advisor to oversee health, safety, and environmental practices across live construction projects in the Limerick region.

This role involves ensuring compliance with internal safety procedures and national regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture on-site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project stakeholders to implement EHS protocols from project launch through completion

  • Support supervisors and site teams in maintaining compliance with health and safety frameworks

  • Conduct routine inspections and develop reports outlining safety observations, improvements, and compliance gaps

  • Facilitate regular toolbox talks and training sessions to upskill site personnel and raise awareness

  • Manage incident documentation, investigations, and follow-up actions

  • Maintain and review risk assessments, safety plans, and environmental controls

  • Ensure correct documentation and procedures are in place for site-specific safety files

  • Liaise with contractors to ensure safety standards are met and enforced consistently across all teams

  • Provide site presence as needed and support various projects across multiple locations (overnight stays may be required)

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a construction or engineering-related safety role

  • Solid knowledge of M&E and CSA environments is preferred

  • Relevant health & safety qualifications (e.g., Diploma in OH&S at Level 8, Environmental Management at Level 6)

  • Certifications such as Safe Pass, First Aid, Manual Handling Instructor, and CSCS (UK equivalent if applicable)

  • Internal auditing capabilities for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems

  • Comfortable conducting audits, delivering training, and preparing detailed reports

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence and lead on safety matters

  • Proven experience in safety strategy implementation, incident analysis, and improvement plans

  • Familiarity with EHS systems, CDM coordination, and working with subcontractors

  • Membership with a professional safety body (e.g., IOSH or equivalent)
