Graduate Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering services provider with a strong presence in large-scale construction projects, is currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Dublin-based team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated graduate to gain hands-on experience in mechanical systems design, coordination, and project delivery within a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Reporting to a senior engineer, the successful candidate will assist with project execution, drawing reviews, and site coordination, while receiving structured mentorship and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the review and coordination of mechanical design documentation under the guidance of senior team members
• Assist with monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and requests for information (RFIs)
• Work with internal teams to track project progress, procurement timelines, and quality inspections
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as part of the wider engineering team
• Participate in team meetings and training programmes to build technical and project management skills
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with health and safety and compliance requirements

Key Skills & Experience:

• Recent graduate (Level 7/8) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• A strong interest in building services, mechanical systems, and construction environments
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is desirable
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a structured engineering team
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland without the need for sponsorship
