Job Purpose
Lead compliance, customer-facing quality, and continuous improvements to foster a total quality culture. Ensure high-quality products, robust quality systems, and cost-effective quality performance in line with external and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Governance: Support site leadership in quality governance; prepare KPI analyses and insight for decision-making.
- Compliance & Systems: Review and maintain quality systems, SOPs, and policies to ensure customer and regulatory conformity; drive improvements to meet accreditation standards.
- Customer Focus: Establish strong relationships with customers; provide technical support and act as a quality reference.
- CAPA & Investigations: Manage customer complaints and non-conformances; lead robust root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Training & People: Recruit, develop, and coach a QA/QC team; promote quality knowledge and continuous improvement across the site.
- Audits & Communications: Coordinate internal, external, and customer audits; prepare information for visits and responses.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead quality initiatives and cost-reduction improvements; support new equipment validation and safety/compliance processes.
- Integrated Management System: Contribute to an integrated system covering quality, environment, and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities – Business Improvement
- Drive improvements to optimize processes to meet customer specs while maximizing production.
- Ensure standards amendments are aligned with accreditation bodies.
- Support new equipment validation, safety, and customer expectations; participate in site-wide improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities – Other
- Produce data and reports for site, customers, and corporate.
- Identify and implement improvement projects to enhance quality and safety.
- Deliver GMP, Quality, and FSC training as required.
- Take on additional projects as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior/management Quality role.
- Experience with accredited standards and manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record in leading change and continuous improvement (e.g., Six Sigma or equivalent).
- Supervisory experience; equipment/process validation.
- GMP knowledge; strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Customer relations, data handling, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
