We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven External Sales Representative to join a leading timber and building merchant.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in Kildare and maintaining relationships with existing customers across the region. Your focus will be on driving sales, promoting a wide range of products, and ensuring excellent customer service.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a solid understanding of the Construction industry, and a passion for building lasting customer relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and showcase company products to current and potential clients, ensuring high-quality customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong customer connections, with an emphasis on fostering long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach efforts such as cold calls.
  • Meet and exceed agreed sales goals and deliver successful results.

 

Key Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in sales, particularly within the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building or timber products is advantageous.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and capable of operating both independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication with solid IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
