I am currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent for a major road project in Limerick.
This is a key role within a high-profile infrastructure scheme, offering the opportunity to take ownership of specific work packages and play a central part in project delivery. You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations across designated work packages
- Drive programme delivery and ensure key milestones are achieved
- Coordinate site teams, engineers, foremen and subcontractors
- Support the commercial performance of the project
- Ensure all works are delivered to specification and are defect-free
- Prepare and implement RAMS, method statements, ITPs and programmes
- Lead daily coordination / planning meetings on site
- Liaise with procurement teams to support planning and material delivery
- Prepare progress reports and update senior management and clients
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, including reviewing design where required
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 3+ years’ experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on road or infrastructure projects
- Background working with a main contractor or civil engineering contractor
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and environmental regulations
- Proficient in MS Office, Project, and reporting tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage technical issues and drive solutions on site
