Role Overview:

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled bid writer to join the pre-construction (Work Winning) team. The role involves creating tailored, persuasive proposals that address project-specific requirements and highlight the companys strengths. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new contracts and supporting strategic business development goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed, client-focused submissions for a variety of infrastructure and construction bids (e.g., transport, water, energy).
  • Customize technical content to suit individual project criteria and client specifications.
  • Work closely with project and commercial teams to gather technical input and supporting data.
  • Conduct research into each project’s context, including scope, location, and relevant constraints.
  • Monitor industry practices and competitor positioning to inform proposal development.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to incorporate their input into bid content.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree preferred in Civil Engineering, HSEQ, or related technical discipline
  • 2–3 years of on-site construction experience
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience preparing technical submissions for tenders
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and tendering processes
  • Good awareness of health & safety, quality, environmental, and sustainability standards
  • Excellent writing, editing, and formatting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Fluent English language skills required
