My client, a leading Construction Main Contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Pre‑Construction Bid Writer. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in securing new projects by preparing high‑quality, persuasive bid submissions and pre‑qualification documents. The position requires a solid understanding of construction methodologies, exceptional written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, project managers and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce, edit and tailor high‑quality bid and tender responses (including PQQs) that meet client requirements and evaluation criteria.

Showcase the organisation’s capability and methodology through clear, compelling written content, including construction methodologies, programme narratives and logistics plans.

Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop programmes, technical documentation and logistics plans; attend site visits to inform submissions.

Prepare site‑specific technical submissions for both public and private tenders, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective risk management.

Contribute to risk assessments, buildability reviews and value engineering proposals.

Identify opportunities to improve bid processes and help develop the overall bid management function.

Assist with clarifications, interviews, presentations and other post‑submission activities as required.

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Asta; familiar with digital bid management tools and content libraries.
