Job: Sales Manager – Timber Frame (field-based)
Key focus:
- Drive sustainable, profitable revenue growth in an assigned territory
- Develop high-value customer partnerships, expand key accounts, win new business in timber frame and house building
- Coordinate with Operations, Technical, and Customer Service to translate demand into a forecast-driven order book
- Ensure disciplined sales execution, forecast accuracy, and long-term customer retention
What you’ll do:
- Own and hit annual sales targets (revenue, volume, margin)
- Plan and manage territory and key accounts
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers
- Identify and convert new timber frame/housebuilding opportunities
- Manage full sales cycle: engagement, quotation, negotiation, orders, handover
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and order book for production planning
- Align customer requirements with technical capability and capacity
- Represent the value proposition professionally in all interactions
- Gather market, customer, and competitor insights to inform pricing and offers
- Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM data for planning and service performance
Essential experience:
- Field-based B2B sales, preferably in timber frame, off-site construction, MMC, or building materials
- Proven key account management and long-term relationship development
- Experience with structured sales processes, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Commercial awareness balancing customer needs with pricing and operations
- Comfortable in a make-to-order/manufacturing environment; able to engage with senior stakeholders
